This month, we are excited to introduce Rohan Desai, CSA!Ìý
Rohan Desai, CSA, is the Operations Manager at Atlanta, Georgia-based Star Gems, and a proud second-generation jeweler. His journey began early, helping around the Star Gems office throughout high school, where he did everything from organizing melee to packing boxes. Those hands-on experiences laid the foundation for a deep appreciation of all the work that goes into this industry.Â
After earning his degree in ±ð³¦´Ç²Ô´Ç³¾¾±³¦²õÌýfrom UCLA, Rohan recognized the incredible opportunities within the jewelry industry and decided to pursue it full-time. Through daily immersion in operations, GIA education classes, and extensive trade show experience, he developed a strong appreciation for both the craft and the global marketplace. His travels to Antwerp, London, and India further broadened his perspective and strengthened his industry relationships.Â
Rohan joined the AGS Young Titleholders in 2021 and quickly became actively involved, serving on various subcommittees and building lasting friendships along the way. A little over a year ago, he stepped into the role of Young Titleholders Social Media Chair, helping enhance engagement and connection within the community.Â
In 2025, Rohan was honored as AGS Young Titleholder of the Year and looks forward to continuing to grow his involvement and give back to an organization and community he deeply values.Â
