We’re thrilled to welcome back the American Watchmakers and Clockmakers Institute (AWCI) and the AWCI Archie Perkins Mobile Horology Classroom, offering even more interactive learning.

Join expert watchmakers for live demonstrations and hands-on sessions, with extra opportunities throughout the week to refine your skills, ask questions, and get up close with the tools and techniques that keep timepieces performing at their best.

Water Resistance: Wet and Dry Methods

Instructor: Jason Ziegenbein

Not only will the testers be demonstrated, but each participant will go hands-on with each machine. This training even includes programming these devices for their optimal use. Guidelines for testing will be discussed and specification charts will be handed out. Cases will be prepared for random testing. This is a hands-on workshop and tooling will be provided.

Screw Driver / Tweezer Maintenance

Instructor: Jason Champion

This class teaches proper screwdriver and tweezer maintenance, including how to select and use sharpening tools. Learn about torque screwdrivers and new materials for screwdriver blades and tweezers. This is a hands-on workshop, and tooling will be provided.

Modern Watch Timing Equipment: Watch Timers and their use

Instructor: Jason Ziegenbein

This class will utilize modern Witschi mechanical watch timing equipment to analyze mechanical watch movements. The course will give a general overview of the timing equipment allowing for question and answers as well as an opportunity to use the equipment. Part of this course will be hands-on with movements and equipment being provided for use.
